Sida Cordifolia, also known as bala, a slimming herb native to India, is a member of the family Malvacea, a family of flowering plants. The stems and roots of Sida Cordifolia contain ephedrine alkaloids, a naturally occurring herbal ephedrine commonly found in plant of the genus Ephedra.
